School Age Programs
You can sign your children up for a program online or in person. Your child will need their own individual library card to register. The requested PIN number is typically the last four digits of the phone number associated with the card. A credit card is required for online registration that are fee based programs.
As noted in the program descriptions on MPL’s online program calendar online registration requires immediate online payment in order to guarantee your space in the program. If you opt to “pay in person”, your spot is not secure until payment is received. The program may fill up before you make it to the library to pay.
If your email is linked to your library account, you should receive a confirmation. Check your spam folders if you do not receive one, otherwise please call the library to confirm your registration (905-875-2665). Space is filled on a “first come first served basis”
If all the children meet the age requirements noted for each program that is fine. Age limits are stipulated for a reason, sometimes by the third parties/entertainment we have hired to run the program, and we will not make exceptions. Milton Public Library reserves the right to remove children from registered program, who are outside of the noted age limits.
Unless otherwise noted, programs are for children only.
You need to notify the library at least 48 hours in advance of the registered program, to receive a refund. Please note that you must speak to a staff member directly, either in person or over the phone. It is not sufficient to cancel online.
The library has a “no food or drink” policy in the program rooms. Water bottles, with lids, are the exception to that rule. Bring socks in the event you wish to, or are asked to remove your shoes before the program. Please leave personal toys and electronics at home. The Library will not be held responsible if they are lost, broken, or stolen.
No, each child is required to register with their own individual library card.
Milton Public Library has a “Child Safety Policy” which states that a parent, guardian, or caregiver of children up to age 10, is expected to remain in the library building and immediately join the child at the end of the program.
