Welcome to the New Library System

We’re excited to share that our system upgrade is now complete! This upgrade enhances how you access library services, including borrowing items, managing your account, and using our digital resources.

New Features

Here are some new features that you can explore:

  • Text Notifications: Stay updated with text alerts for holds, due dates, and more.
  • Bookmarks for Searches: Easily save and revisit your favorite catalogue searches.
  • Enhanced Reading History: Keep track of what you’ve read with a searchable, sortable reading history complete with book cover images, authors, and check-out dates.
  • Seamless Mobile App: Access your account and resources easily on the go with our brand-new App

All key library services are back up and running, including:

  • Self-checkout machines
  • Laptop kiosks
  • Reservations for desktop booking
  • Online account access (My Account)
  • Online patron registration and renewal
  • Mobile App (requires re-login)
  • E-Resources (except Hoopla for new patrons)
  • Loan Extensions & Fine Waivers: Due dates for items originally due on January 27 or later have been extended to February 10.
    No overdue fines will be charged from February 6 – 14
  • Holds Pickup: If you had holds ready for pickup, we’ve extended the deadlines:
    Main Library and Sherwood Branches – Until February 9
    Beaty Branch – Until February 11
  • The Expired Hold List will resume as follows:
    February 10 at Main Library and Sherwood Branch
    February 12 at Beaty Branch

You will need to log in again with your library card barcode & PIN. Some users may need to update the app based on their device settings. Save your library card number before updating the app.
Mobile Self Checkout users need to ensure “MPL Location” is enabled in their device settings. Here is how you do it:
Go to Settings > Location Services > MPL > Select “While Using the App” or “Always”
