These sensory kits contain an assortment of items which are designed to reduce stress and anxiety, stimulate learning, and provide comfort during library visits. They have been designed with the assistance of the Halton Youth Disability Advisory Council and with funding from the Libraries and Autism: We’re All Welcome Here grant. They have been created with the goal of celebrating neurodiversity and making Milton Public Library more accessible to its patrons. There is no correct way to use the items in the kit, so feel free to get creative. Please note that this kit is not a toy box but rather a tool for neurodiverse families to enjoy library visits.
