When you join the TD Summer Reading Club at MPL using Beanstack, you will receive access to a digital notebook, and a web access code which will expand your fun online along with thousands of other children participating across Canada. Find books, add and read reviews, tell jokes and more. Happy Reading!
How to Join
Choose a program based on your age when the TD Summer Reading Club begins.
The Pre Reader Summer Reading Club ages 0-5. Your goal is to:
- Read 10 hours from June 14 – August 23. That works out to about 2 hour per week.
- Prizes include an Annual Familiy Pass for Conservation Halton, An one year Family membership for the Royal Botanical Gardens, Picture book and stuffie gift sets, Building Block sets, and more soon to be announced prizes!
The School Age Summer Reading Club ages 6-12. Your goal is to:
- Read for 20 hours from June 14 – August 23. That works out to about 2 hours per week.
- Prizes include: Signed Books By Author Gordon Korman and Dave Pilkey, 7 New Wonders of The World Excavation Dig Kits, Orboot Earth (Globe + App) Interactive AR World Globe, Skillmatics World Map Puzzle – 96 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle, and many more soon to be announced prizes!
Getting Started with Beanstack

An individual library card is needed for each child you are registering.
- Visit your app store to download the Beanstack Tracker App to your smart phone or device, OR visit https://beinspired.beanstack.org/reader365 to use the browser version.
- Register yourself for an account. If more than one person in your household is registering for a summer reading club program (we have two age groups to choose from), create one account for the whole family and add multiple readers.
(TIP: make sure you look for Milton Public Library, Ontario. We’re the one with the bee logo)
- Select your Summer Reading Club challenge, based on your age.
Logging Badges

- You’ll earn a badge for every 1-2 hours of reading logged…we challenge you to earn them all!
- Each time you earn a Logging Badge, you’ll receive tickets that you can use to enter into the prize draws…reach your reading goal, and we’ll send you even more tickets!
The more you read, the more chances you have to win an awesome prize at the end of the summer.
Activity Badges
To earn extra tickets complete Activity Challenges. A few of these involve participating in some of the amazing programs we have to offer. You’ll have fun and learn lots too! At the end of the program, you will receive a special code which you can use to unlock the appropriate badge(s) and tickets!
Spending Tickets

- Log in to your Beanstack account on a desktop computer.
- Open the “ticket drawings” tab.
- At the top of the page, you will see how many tickets you have earned. Below is the list of prizes available this year. Click on the “add tickets” button beside the prizes you want to win!
Please note that some prizes have a maximum (e.g. you can only put 5 tickets towards them) while others do not.
Make sure you spend all of your tickets before the end of the day on Sunday, August 24, 2025!
