Artist in Residence

Milton Public Library is excited to introduce Malachi Watson-Narcisse as our 2026 Artist in Residence. Malachi will be working with various age groups in our community to create a variety of art-based programming, including Zine creation.

A zine (pronounced ‘zeen’) is a self published, small circulation and non-commercial magazine or booklet. Zines are a free spirited alternative to mainstream media. They serve as a platform for self-expression. People use zines to discuss niche and diverse topics such as music fandom, art, politics, personal stories health…anything, really!

For over 100 years marginalized groups have used zines to get their messages out.

Meet Malachi Watson-Narcisse

Malachi Watson-Narcisse is an artist, illustrator, and graphic designer known for his vibrant work featuring diverse figures, often touching on subjects related to culture and identity. His most recent work includes the development of zines that highlight local art communities and social issues.
