You will need your valid home library card to establish reciprocal borrowing privileges. Please contact your home library if you need a replacement card.

At this time, reciprocal borrowing registration and renewal may require verification of your home library membership. Please visit in-person any of the MPL’s Branch to renew your membership. The card expired every two years.

Please visit a Milton Public Library branch with your library card and valid identification. Staff can review and renew your borrowing privileges if you continue to meet eligibility requirements.

Reciprocal borrowing allows eligible cardholders from participating libraries to borrow physical materials from Milton Public Library, subject to borrowing policies and item availability.

Use Libby or OverDrive with your Milton Public Library card and follow the instructions provided in our digital borrowing guide.

Physical reciprocal borrowing agreements and digital content agreements are managed separately. Digital collections are subject to publisher licensing restrictions and partnership arrangements.

Current digital borrowing partners include Burlington, Hamilton, Kingston Frontenac, London, Mississauga, and Ottawa Public Libraries.
