Summer Giving Campaign

 

Milton Public Library is proud to partner with Milton Community Resource Centre (MCRC) to support local families through the Infant Food Bank this summer. Together, we invite you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of infants and families across Halton by donating essential baby items – in person or online. Our target is raise $500 in value for this campaign. The most needed items include:

  • Diapers Size 6
  • Baby Food Pouches
  • Diapers Size 5
  • Baby Cereal
  • Diapers Size 4
  • Step 1 Formula (Enfamil, Good Start, Similac)
  • Diapers Size 3
  • Baby Wipes

Why Your Support Matters

Since 2007, MCRC’s Infant Food Bank has been a vital resource for families in our region, providing free access to diapers, baby food, formula, cereal, and menstrual products to families with children under 3 years old.

As the cost of living continues to rise, demand for these essentials has reached an all-time high:

  • 764 infant visits and 619 family visits from January to April 2025 alone
  • Serving an average of 191 infants from 155 families each month
  • March 2025 was the busiest month in IFB’s history

Did you know? A single family needs about 200 diapers, 4 boxes of cereal, 120 jars of baby food, and 4 cans of formula every month. MCRC aims to provide 80% of these items, but they need your help.

  • Donation bins are available at all three MPL branches. Look for our in-branch displays and contribute to this vital cause.

Get a Goodie Bag

As a token of appreciation, 20 lucky winners will receive a free goodie bag with items from MPL and MCRC through a lucky draw at the end of the campaign.

  • Drop off your donation in-branch and fill out the donor form
